Hi, I am wondering if going to Warwick BSc Philosophy, Politics and Economics or Bocconi BIEF program would be better. I am from Asia and the Warwick brand name is more renowned to recruiters in my country since it is a UK uni. I'd like to work in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, UAE, and my home country(worst case scenario). Learning Italian could be challenging because I do not know any EU languages, and English is a Germanic language so it would be pretty different from Italian.
1. Would this be a great impediment to my academic life in Bocconi, not to forget we have to prep for internships/spring and summer applications?

2. Should I pick Bocconi since the course is more relevant to IB/finance, and that Bocconi is a stronger target than Warwick (is it true and to what extent?) in London?

3. Would picking Bocconi or warwick give me an edge in spring weeks/summers application? If so, what is the reason / differentiating factor? Apparently banks in London sponsor internationals so coming from an Italian uni without any UK graduate visa would not harm my chances as compared to Warwick, is that so?

Thank you!

The main difference between the two is geography (location), and that includes the LANGUAGE you will use every day.

One is English exclusively, whereas the other is a mix (English/Italian). It's always worth learning new languages though, even if it's looks/sounds completely odd to you.

To be fair, they are pretty much equal. On par in terms of prestige, intl recognition, course, IB culture etc. It's not like you are asking Oxbridge vs Warwick vs Bocconi. Milan however (where Bocconi is) is a very different environment/city (urban) than where Warwick is (Coventry, countryside). The lifestyle is quite different.

Question is: do you want to work in London or Milan once you graduate? If you want to work in London, hands down Warwick. If you want to work in Milan, or continental Europe (Frankfurt, Barcelona etc), hands down Bocconi. While both are target unis, since Brexit, visa sponsorships are a real challenge, and if you are gunning for London, take Warwick.
