I'll be starting my first year of economics undergrad in October, and I have little idea about how to structure a CV so it'll look appealing to any major banks. I would very much appreciate advice on how to improve the content of my CV, and also comments on whether my work experience/extra-curriculars are lacking in quality/quantity.

Here's the link to my CV (as I could not upload it to the website):

Here are some problems I feel I have:
1. Work experiences are lacking in quality, none of them are from big name institutions, none of them particularly eye catching
2. lack of content in bottom section make me seem like a drab and uninteresting person
3. lack of technical skills displayed (may be improved during summer)
4. lack of leadership positions or meaningful extra-curriculars (may be improved after uni starts)

All and all, I feel problems lie in how generic and standard it is.

Again, any and all comments appreciated (@Trigger ) .

What you forgot to mention was that you will be starting your undergrad at Cambridge which if you didn't know, puts you into a great position. You will have a lot of opportunity to attend events ran by banks where if you 'play your cards right' you are pretty much guaranteed an interview. Don't worry if you think you are not good at 'networking' because there are societies on campus that will help you become good at it.

Don't sweat your CV because it's fine. Just attend all events when banks come on campus and do what you were taught.

@Trigger How important do you think it is to keep the CV to 1 page? Mine is currently 2 sides A4 and I'm finding it difficult to cut down. I'm mainly thinking about spring/summer applications. Thanks for your help!

Very. Don't try with 2 pages, the reason for that is A, it probably won't get read simply because banks get so many applications and B, at your stage pretty much no one possesses that much experience that it would worth list it all over 2 pages, so just keep it to one page.
