Hi guys. Out of curiosity how much is base pay for junior hires for a bank in IB? Thanks.

45k base usually. May vary slightly across the tier 1 banks. Tier 2/3 might be a tad less, i.e. 40k, but not necessarily. That would be for front office roles though. Middle and Back Office roles pay less.

For Analyst roles in M&A or Fixed Income around 45K base + around 15-25K bonus in the first year. Always depends a bit on the team as Alex said, Tier2/3 pay ~10% less.

As a graduate, you normally earn the same across all front office roles. So that would be for quants also. However, if you come with a Ph.D. in your pocket you should normally get paid more and in some cases even start as an associate as opposed to an analyst.
